How We Test
The short version
If a page makes a claim you would have to see or handle something to verify, we saw or handled it. If we did not, the page says so.
Measurements
Dimensions are taken at the widest point, in centimetres, base first. Where a brand publishes its own figures and ours differ, both are shown — brand figures often exclude handles or measure the base rather than the top.
Photography
Reference photography for the Bags, Materials and Authentication sections is shot by us, on the actual object, under consistent lighting.
Some images on this site are generated, and they are used only where nothing is being evidenced — section headers and mood. They are never used to show what a specific leather, stamp or model looks like. Those pages wait for real photography rather than borrowing an approximation.
Prices
Retail prices are recorded from the brand’s own site, dated, with the market named. Resale figures come from completed sales, not asking prices — an asking price is an opinion.
What we cannot do
We cannot authenticate a bag from photographs, and no guide on this site should be read as doing so. Authentication content is a structured way to spot problems early. It is not a verdict.
